Located at 277 Border street, East Boston MA 02128. Our first physical location acts as the main hub where we not only continue to make your favorite chocolates, but also acts as a retail store where chocolate lovers can shop in-person.

We are dedicated to creating artisan bonbons with complex, balanced and consistent flavors using ethically sourced, high quality ingredients. No artificial flavoring is used in any of our products.

Our chocolates

Our chocolates are entirely handmade in small batches.

The entire process to produce a batch of our shiny, delicious bonbons takes 3 days.
Each mold is carefully polished, then painted with colored cocoa butter. Next, we temper the chocolate and make those super thin chocolate shells that are the true sign of our craftsmanship and then we proceed with the fillings. Our fillings are designed to elegantly complement  the chocolate shell and create an explosion of flavors that work harmoniously with the delicate notes of the chocolate.  All flavors are inspired by the different seasons, our travels, childhood memories and fine-dining experiences.

Our ingredients

We pride ourselves in using the finest French chocolate, fresh vanilla beans and locally sourced herbs, fruits and produce for our fillings. We stand behind cocoa growers and are dedicated in solely using ethically, sustainably sourced and fair trade cacao products and vanilla beans.

" Hi! I am Betty Petrova, the founder behind Petrova Chocolates. My culinary journey commenced at the age of 14 within the realm of the restaurant industry, an enduring passion that has always held a profound place in my heart.

In the quaint setting of my hometown, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, my family owned a small restaurant where I dedicated my school summer breaks to the kitchen, assisting my mother. It was during this period that the seeds of my culinary ardor were sown. My educational path led me to the pursuit of excellence in the field, with a diploma in Hospitality Management from the Professional High School of Tourism in Plovdiv, followed by advanced studies in Tourism Management at the University of Food Technologies. My voyage brought me to Boston, Massachusetts in 2015, where I embarked on a culinary adventure, laboring in diverse restaurant kitchens across the city. UNI became my culinary home, where I honed my skills, specializing in the art of sashimi preparation and crafting delectable plated desserts for the restaurant's dessert menu.

My devotion to chocolate led me to seek knowledge and mastery through attendance at various chocolate classes and workshops across the United States, studying under the tutelage of globally renowned chocolatiers and pastry chefs. In my leisure hours, I am an avid traveler, indulging in the culinary wonders of Europe, which I later infuse into my own chocolate creations.

The culmination of my aspirations materialized in the summer of 2020 when I created Petrova Chocolates. This venture is not merely a business but my artistic outlet, one that I meticulously oversee from the inception of each chocolate to managing our social media presence and handling the shipment of your cherished orders. My mission is to craft chocolate bonbons distinguished by unique flavor profiles, enticing individuals to explore novel and unfamiliar taste experiences, all while delivering the joy that only fine chocolate can provide.
